Why We Called It Mi Orgullo

Mexico Aztec Edition jersey inspired by ancient Aztec culture

We could have named this brand after a person. A last name, a founder's story, something with an "I" in it. Instead, we called it Mi Orgullo — my pride — because the moment someone puts on one of our pieces, it stops being about us entirely. It becomes about them.

That's on purpose. When someone from México sees one of our México jerseys, we want the first thought to be "that's my country" — not "that's a brand." When someone from Michoacán wears one of our hoodies, we want it to feel like something they already owned in their heart, and we just gave it a shape.

For everyone who carries two places at once

A lot of our customers live in the United States. Some were born here to parents who crossed over looking for something better. Some made that trip themselves. Some have never set foot in Mexico but grew up hearing the stories, eating the food, and feeling like a piece of them belonged somewhere they'd never been.

That in-between space is exactly who we design for. You don't have to choose one identity over the other. You can be fully here and fully from there at the same time — and your closet should be able to say that too.

Every piece has a place behind it

Our jerseys aren't random designs. Each one is built around Mexico or one of its states — its colors, its symbols, the things that make that piece of the map unmistakably itself. Some carry eagles and serpents pulled from Aztec and pre-Hispanic imagery, because those symbols were telling our story long before any of us were born. Some lean into the bold script and team-style lettering you'd see on a real baseball jersey back home, because for a lot of us, baseball is family, weekends, and grandparents all wrapped into one sport.

Our hoodies and tees carry that same idea in a different form — something you can wear every day, not just for a game or a holiday, that still says who you are and where your people are from.

Orgullo isn't loud. It's constant.

You don't need a flag in your hand or a special occasion to be proud of where you're from. Sometimes it's just putting on a jersey before running errands, or a hoodie on a cold morning at a job that has nothing to do with Mexico at all — and still feeling, quietly, like you brought a piece of home with you.

That's the whole idea behind the name. Not our pride. Yours. However you spell it — México, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Oaxaca, Chihuahua — it's already yours. We just try to make something worth wearing it in.
